Know the model you’re buying.
The original itel Power Tank is model IESS-05K10N. It pairs a 500W continuous pure sine wave AC output with 1000Wh of battery storage and a built-in MPPT controller for compatible solar charging. BetaDeal’s product price is ₦290,000.
500W and 1000Wh mean different things.
500W is the inverter’s continuous output rating. Add up the power used by the appliances running at the same time and stay within that limit. 1000Wh is the amount of energy stored in the battery, which helps determine how long your load can run.
Start with your everyday essentials.
A television, decoder, fan, laptop, router, phone charger and LED lighting are useful starting points when checking a household load. Use each device’s label or measured wattage instead of guessing from its name.
A 65W television, 35W fan and five 15W bulbs total 175W. At 85% usable nominal battery energy, the calculated runtime is about 4.9 hours. A 65W laptop, 35W fan and 15W bulb total 115W and calculate to about 7.4 hours. Actual operation depends on device use and battery conditions.
Check appliances with motors.
Compressors and motors can draw more power during startup. A low running wattage does not by itself establish that a fridge, freezer or pump will work. Share the exact appliance model and ratings before deciding.
Choose your charging routine.
You can recharge from a suitable wall outlet without buying solar panels. A compatible solar setup provides another charging route. The published solar limits are 400W input and 60V maximum PV voltage, with an 11–60V MPPT range.
